Kvarner is short-hop sailing. Krk to Cres to Lošinj, Rab on the way back, rarely more than a few hours between anchorages. Bella is a 41ft monohull with three cabins and seven berths — enough boat to be comfortable at anchor, small enough for two people to handle. The bura drops off the Velebit in gusts; the afternoon breeze fills in from the north-west and usually settles by dusk. Right for families and first-time charterers who want short passages and a bunk each. Less right for anyone after long offshore legs.
