On most boats there's a small skipper cabin (single berth in bow or stern). On smaller boats they sleep in the saloon. They never use a guest cabin unless invited.

Yes — as much as you want, with the captain's OK. They'll let you steer, anchor, even dock if you're up for it. Easiest way to learn without committing to a course.

Navigates, runs the boat's systems, handles marina paperwork + fuel, briefs you on the day ahead. Off-watch they'll happily join the crew for dinner if invited.

You do. The captain offers options, you decide. They'll push back if you ask for something dangerous (e.g. a 35-knot day) — but otherwise the week is yours.

Yes — they must be ICC-equivalent + VHF and known to the operator. Send us their CV.
