Flotilla Charter — Your Boat, With Support

Several yachts sail one route together with a lead crew. Each boat goes its own way by day, and the fleet meets in harbour at night. The gentlest first step to skippering your own yacht.

How fixed is the route?

The route is planned before you go, with room to swap a day or a stop if the boats agree. The lead crew books each evening's harbour ahead, so every boat has a berth.

Must I join every group activity?

No. Every activity is optional. Skip a group dinner or spend half a day on your own; you only need to reach that night's harbour.

I haven't sailed in a while. Is that a problem?

That is what a flotilla is for. The lead skipper goes over the basics with you on the first day, and each morning's briefing covers that day's anchoring and mooring.

Can kids come?

Yes, it suits families well. There are other children in the fleet, the evenings are planned, and the days start and finish early.

When do flotillas run?

In the Mediterranean, mostly from June to mid-September, starting on a Saturday. Operators publish their dates months ahead.
