How fast can I actually cruise?
Sustained 18-22 kts is comfortable for a flybridge motorboat. Sportier hulls go 25-30 kts. Budget for fuel — at 22 kts you're burning ~60-90 L/h.
Do motorboats heel?
Slightly in turns — 5-10° max. Not the heel of a sailboat. Crews who get seasick on monohull sailboats are usually fine on motorboats.
Can I one-way a motorboat across the Med?
Yes — speed makes it practical. We do Split → Naples weeks (5 days at sea, 2 days lay days).
Are motorboats good for kids?
Yes — fast hops mean less time at sea, more time anchored. Flybridge is great for spotting things, dinghy off the swim platform.
