A catamaran does one thing better than any monohull — it makes the hours at anchor comfortable. Barone sits flat while the tender comes and goes, holds a cockpit table the whole crew fits around, and draws little enough to tuck into coves a deep-keeled boat has to sail past. Four cabins spread across two hulls, so nobody shares a bulkhead with the early risers. Right for families and mixed-ability groups working the volcanic islands in short hops. Less right if you want to sail hard upwind.
