Catamarans forgive a lot. Barney sits flat at anchor, so nobody spends the night sliding towards the leeward side, and there's shade in the cockpit by the time the maestral fills in after lunch. Four cabins keep the sleeping arrangements simple; the foredeck takes everyone else. The water here is deep and clear, with an island worth stopping at every few miles, so most afternoons you can pick an anchorage rather than hunt for one. Right for families and mixed-ability crews. Less right for anyone chasing upwind performance.
