The breeze here fills in after lunch and softens by evening, which makes the sailing predictable in the best sense. Bamboo is a 51ft monohull: five cabins, ten berths, and nobody drawing the short straw over who sleeps forward. The bays are pine-backed and sit close together — the next anchorage is rarely more than two hours off, so you can sail a leg, swim, and still be tied up before dinner. Right for families and two or three couples travelling together. Less right for anyone planning long passages.
