Itinerary

1. Day 1The main plan–The Western Cyclades Day1–Saturday: Lavrion–Milos (about 65 nautical miles)

   The yacht will be located at Pier 2 in Olympic marine. The crew will welcome you aboard at 14.00h with refreshments, show you to your cabin and provide you with all the necessary information relative to your safety and comfort. “Iroula” will depart at 15.00h for Cape Sounion, for your first dip in the sea waters of the Aegean. After a short swim, the yacht will depart for an all-night trip to the furthermost destination of the cruise, which is the island of Milos. So, you will have a chance to watch the sun setting into the sea to the starboard side, followed by a bright moon (since the cruise dates have been selected to have an illumination of the moon of over 50%) shining upon the Aegean Sea and the silhouettes of the islands of Kythnos, Serifos, Sifnos and Kimolos, to the port side. A light dinner will be served on board after departing from Sounion and then you will decide when to put an end to a romantic night and go to sleep. The choice of this long trip into the night, allows the cruise to move away from a crowd of hundreds of other yachts departing in the evening of Saturday, which compete to find a berth at a nearby harbour. It also increases the possibility to find space for the next few days, in the heavily congested (without any booking process in place) Greek harbours.

2. Day 2Day 2 – Sunday: Milos (Kleftiko) – Milos (Adamas) (about 14 nautical miles)

   Sunrise will find you anchored at one of the most photographed sites of the Cyclades, called Kleftiko. Breakfast will be served, you will have plenty of time to swim, enjoy the magnificent view and take pictures. Departing at around 11.00h will allow for an early arrival at Adamas harbour, the main village of the island. After lunch on board at around 14.30h, you will have the rest of the day free, to relax, visit the village and have dinner at your leisure.

3. Day 3Day 3 – Monday: Milos – Polyaigos - Kimolos (about 12 nautical miles)

   Soon after breakfast you will depart for yet another small paradise of the Cyclades for a swim, at the island of Polyaigos (inhabited by only 2 people and part of the Natura 2000 (bird watching) program of the European Union) and then continue for the port of Psathi in Kimolos. After lunch on board, you can visit the picturesque village of Kimolos (just 800m from Psathi), take pictures and have dinner at your leisure. Kimolos, despite its small size, incorporates in one island, all the characteristics found in the Cyclades islands (castle, churches, village and house architecture, boat caves on the beach, beaches, tasty food recipes, etc.).

4. Day 4Day 4 - Tuesday: Kimolos – Sifnos (about 17 nautical miles)

   After an early breakfast in Psathi, you will depart for the bay of Fykiada in Sifnos for a nice swim and then continue for the cosmopolitan village of Platys Gialos, which is being awarded with a European blue flag for its beach, for many consecutive years. The crew will serve you lunch, and you will then be encouraged to explore the island and have dinner at your leisure. The island of Sifnos described as the harmonious “silent power” has consciously kept a low profile despite its many merits that make it a very popular destination. Archeological sites (towers, forts, temples, mines, tombs), museums, Christian churches and monasteries, local architecture, hiking paths (a unique network of 200 km of trails in total -some dating back to 3000 BC and some other form a group of 19 officially marked trails www.sifnostrails.com), eons of pottery tradition (you can also participate and “make your own” artifact at Pilotechnion), gastronomy (many famous Greek chefs were born in Sifnos) and the natural beauty of the island (hills, vegetation, beaches, etc.) combine, to make Sifnos a true gem in the Cyclades.

5. Day 5Day 5 – Wednesday: Sifnos – Serifos (about 20 nautical miles)

   Breakfast will be served, before departure for Cheronissos, a picturesque fishing village at the northernmost part of Sifnos, for a swim and lunch on board. From there, the cruise will continue for Livadi the main port of Serifos, where you can relax or explore the town and have dinner at your leisure. The town of Serifos (around 5km from the port), built on a hill at around 200m height provides fantastic views of the port, the Aegean Sea and the nearby islands.

6. Day 6Day 6 – Thursday: Serifos – Kythnos (about 26 nautical miles)

   The day will start with breakfast and a short hop to the bay of Koutalas for a refreshing swim, before sailing on to Merichas, the main port of Kythnos. After lunch onboard, the afternoon can be spent to discover the beautiful villages of the island. Dinner at your leisure.

7. Day 7Day 7 – Friday: Kythnos – Lavrion (about 25 nautical miles)

   After breakfast and before leaving the island for the return trip to Olympic Marine, a stop for a few hours at the famous beach of Kolona, for swimming and lunch, will provide everyone with a chance for retrospect and consolidation of the experiences of a great week, before they become cherished memories for the years to come. Upon “Iroula’s” return to Olympic Marine, the evening period and dinner will be at your leisure.

8. Day 8Day 8 – Saturday morning: Olympic Marine Lavrion

   Your crew will offer you breakfast and will greet you before 9.00h, which is the scheduled disembarkation time. If needed, the skipper alone will make changes, to safeguard crew safety, comfort and satisfaction.
