Yacht charter in Tuscany

01 · Overview

Yacht charter in Tuscany

The Tuscan Archipelago is a national park of seven islands between the mainland and Corsica. Elba is the largest, with many harbours and anchorages, and Giglio and Capraia are smaller and quieter. The fleet on our desk here is mostly sailing yachts for bareboat charter, from bases along the mainland coast.

How many charter boats are there in Tuscany?

We list about 100 boats in Tuscany today, from 26 charter companies. Most are sailing yachts. The number changes as operators add and sell boats.

When is the cheapest time to charter in Tuscany?

On the 2027 offers we hold, January is the cheapest month for a typical boat here, at about €2,600 a week for the middle of the fleet. August is the dearest, at about €4,500. Prices change as weeks book up, so check the boat pages for your dates.

Which licence do I need to charter in Tuscany?

For a bareboat charter, yes: the skipper needs a licence the operator accepts, and usually a VHF radio certificate. 99% of the boats here list a licence requirement. If nobody in your crew holds one, choose a crewed or skippered boat, or ask the operator about hiring a skipper.

How do I get to Tuscany?

Pisa airport is about an hour from most bases, Florence about 1.5 to 2 hours.
