Yacht charter in Greece

01 · Overview

Yacht charter in Greece

Greece has more boats on our desk than any other country, and more islands than most crews could visit in a lifetime. Each sailing area has its own character, from the gentle Ionian to the windy Cyclades. Bareboat sailing is the norm, with large crewed, skippered and flotilla offers too.

How many charter boats are there in Greece?

We list about 3,300 boats in Greece today, from 410 charter companies. Most are sailing yachts. The number changes as operators add and sell boats.

When is the cheapest time to charter in Greece?

On the 2027 offers we hold, February is the cheapest month for a typical boat here, at about €2,200 a week for the middle of the fleet. August is the dearest, at about €5,400. Prices change as weeks book up, so check the boat pages for your dates.

Which licence do I need to charter in Greece?

For a bareboat charter, yes: the skipper needs a licence the operator accepts, and usually a VHF radio certificate. 89% of the boats here list a licence requirement. If nobody in your crew holds one, choose a crewed or skippered boat, or ask the operator about hiring a skipper.

How do I get to Greece?

Athens has the main international airport, with many island airports such as Corfu, Preveza, Kos, Rhodes, Skiathos, Mykonos and Paros.
