Yacht charter in Croatia

01 · Overview

Yacht charter in Croatia

Croatia is one of the most popular charter countries in the world, and it has the second-largest fleet on our desk, after Greece. The coast is protected by long chains of islands, so the water is usually calm, the distances short, and harbours close together. Every type of charter is offered, from bareboat sailing yachts to gulets and crewed motor yachts.

How many charter boats are there in Croatia?

We list about 2,000 boats in Croatia today, from 224 charter companies. Most are sailing yachts. The number changes as operators add and sell boats.

When is the cheapest time to charter in Croatia?

On the 2027 offers we hold, April is the cheapest month for a typical boat here, at about €2,300 a week for the middle of the fleet. July is the dearest, at about €4,300. Prices change as weeks book up, so check the boat pages for your dates.

Which licence do I need to charter in Croatia?

For a bareboat charter, yes: the skipper needs a licence the operator accepts, and usually a VHF radio certificate. 90% of the boats here list a licence requirement. If nobody in your crew holds one, choose a crewed or skippered boat, or ask the operator about hiring a skipper.

How do I get to Croatia?

Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Pula and Rijeka airports all serve the coast, with many direct flights in summer.
