01 · Overview
Yacht charter in Split
Split has the largest fleet on our desk in Croatia and the widest choice of boats, from small sailing yachts to gulets and large crewed motor yachts. The central Dalmatian islands sit close together, so a week can take in lively towns like Hvar and quiet anchorages on Vis or Šolta. Split itself is built into a Roman palace and is worth a night before or after the charter.
02 · The sailing grounds
The sailing grounds
A classic first leg crosses to Šolta or Brač. From there, Hvar town and the Pakleni islands are a short hop, and Vis lies further out with Komiža and the Blue Cave on Biševo. Stari Grad, Jelsa and Bol give quieter alternatives to Hvar town. Bases are spread along the bay: ACI Marina Split and the city harbours, Marina Kaštela towards the airport, and Marina Baotić and Agana further west.
03 · Season and weather
Season and weather
Late April to October. Most summer afternoons the maestral blows in from the north-west and gives good sailing; mornings are often calm. July and August are the busiest months, and town quays fill early in the afternoon.

Ways to charter
Boats in Split offer these kinds of charter (a boat can offer more than one):
Bareboat (394 boats): you skipper the boat yourself. The skipper needs a licence the operator accepts, and usually a VHF radio certificate.
Crewed (198 boats): a skipper and crew come with the boat, often with a cook or host.
Flotilla (42 boats): you sail your own boat in a group, with a lead boat and crew on hand to help.
Skippered (30 boats): a professional skipper sails the boat with you, and you crew as much or as little as you like.
Day charter (18 boats): a single day on the water, usually with crew.
All-inclusive (7 boats): crew, meals and drinks are in one price.
Cabin charter (5 boats): you book one cabin on a shared, crewed boat rather than the whole yacht.
