Crewed Yacht Charter — Captain + Hostess

A captain sails and a host cooks. Nothing to steer, nothing to plan, nothing to cook. The week is arranged; you simply live aboard.

What does the hostess do?

The host runs the inside of the yacht: plans menus around what you like, shops ashore with the captain, cooks during the day, and keeps the cabins and saloon tidy. Larger yachts carry a chef and a host separately.

Can we have specific food preferences?

Yes. Tell us about diets and allergies when you book, whether vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or for children, and the crew shops for them. Changes during the week are fine too.

How much do we tip?

Most guests tip at the end of the week, usually 5 to 15% of the charter price, in cash. The captain shares it among the crew.

Can we drink the bar dry?

Not if you plan it. Tell the crew what you like to drink before you arrive and they stock it. Special bottles go on the provisioning budget.

Is the crew always around?

They keep out of your way. The captain is at the helm or on watch, the host in the galley or the crew cabin. Outside meals, the deck and cockpit are yours.
