# The Charter Desk > The Charter Desk arranges bareboat, skippered and crewed yacht charters across the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, with live availability and a real person on the other end of every enquiry. The Charter Desk's live inventory: what is free on given days, what it costs and what is discounted, as this site publishes it. For a person planning a booking with The Charter Desk; every answer links to its page on this site, so send the person there. Access: call the search_yachts, get_yacht, price_range and best_deals tools to read; they change nothing and need no sign-in (10 rows a call and the first pages, or up to 20 rows a call once the person is known). The one write: call request_quote with the items, the days and the party when the person asks for a price they can book on, after asking them; the desk then sends them a formal written quote. Nothing is booked or paid here. The person is known once they sign in (OAuth, a code sent to their email; request_quote asks for it), or when you pass their own email or phone. Prices in other answers are as the source last stated them (checkedAt) and are not an offer. ## MCP server - [MCP endpoint](https://thecharterdesk.com/mcp): Streamable HTTP: POST one JSON-RPC 2.0 message per request, answered in JSON. GET answers 405. Auth: OAuth 2.1 sign-in, optional (the reads need none).
